November 2010

Datastar upgraded the mail server. The server is faster and can handle more data. The server has been moved to a new subnet. No changes are required by the customer.

July 2009

Datastar will be upgrading the main office to a 10MB bandwidth connection to the Internet. All IP addresses should be moved over to the new subnet. By using the same subnet we will not have the same issue back in February. The projected date is unknown at this point, ETA 30-60 days.

February 2009

The New IP subnet assigned to Datastar was blacklisted by most RBL servers. This will cause mail rejections by most servers receiving your email. I have moved the sendmail server back on the old network until this get resolved. We are working on this issue and it will be resolved in a timely manner. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

February 2009

Datastar upgraded the main office to a higher bandwidth connection to the internet. This will cause some delays with dns server resolving to the new updated IP addresses. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

January 2009

Service interruption notice

As of February 19, 2009 Datastar will be changing internet services for dialup. These change will require dialup user to use their email address as their username within the dialup connection window. Emails have been sent out regarding the changes in detail. Any question please call the office at 601-799-2439
